[That explained the furniture, the odd sources of light, and the strange ache in his back. And the bed he woke in without any real memory of climbing in. This wasn't where he should be, nor was it the Fade. That left precious few options to his mind, and having anything laid out for him would be a blessing.

He accepts the journal with a subservient nod and blinks down at the...moving images, sudden voices, and other such magecraft scrawled over the pages. This book was enchanted, bespelled, and several levels of disturbing for it. He looks back to the page Luke had indicated and begins to read. Many questions he wanted answered were taken care of here; and the more he read the more tense he became.

One prison of circumstance exchanged for a physical one. Fantastic. He doesn't answer Luke, doesn't even notice other than the usual register of the man being unarmed and out of the room, entirely entranced in reading this book.]
